COMPETITION FOR THE ULTI-MUTT CUTIE

Honey
Honey (a.k.a., Pickles) is a 4 year old golden retriever who resides in Dallas, PA with her parents (Liz and Chris Daniels), her golden sister (Sugars), and feline sister (Peanut).
Honey didn’t always live in Dallas though, she was actually born in Philadelphia and spent the first few months of her life in Center City Philly. Honey wasn’t quite cut out for life in the big city due to her over the top enthusiasm for life (i.e., barking). When Honey’s parents heard of a Golden needing a home, who happened to be named Honey, and they already had her sister (Sugars), they knew it was meant to be and picked her up the next day.
Honey joined her new family in November 2020 and fit in perfectly. Honey’s favorite things in life are playing with tennis balls, fetching tennis balls, sleeping with tennis balls, swimming for tennis balls, and dock diving for tennis balls. Yes, Honey is obsessed with tennis balls and loves to swim and compete in dock diving competitions.
Honey is a real ball of energy and has a zest for life! She loves every person and dog she meets and is always making new friends wherever she goes. Honey and her sister, Sugars attend almost all of the dog-friendly local events to support shelters and also travel throughout the Northeast to attend Golden Jubilee events to support canine cancer research. Honey is also one of the ambassador’s of our local NEPA golden retriever meet up group.

Journey
Journey: From the Brink of Death to a Life Filled with Love
Three years ago, on February 17, my life changed forever. While working in Freeport, Grand Bahama, doing post-hurricane remediation, I spotted a tiny, emaciated dog on the side of the road. She was barely clinging to life—covered in fleas and ticks, weighing only four pounds, and too weak to move. I didn’t know if she would survive the night, but I knew I couldn’t leave her there.
Journey fought through multiple surgeries, endless care, and an uphill battle to health, proving every day that she was meant to live. What I didn’t realize at the time was that she would rescue me just as much as I rescued her. My one-month work trip turned into 2.5 years, and Journey was by my side through it all.
Today, Journey is the picture of resilience—strong, happy, and absolutely beautiful. Her transformation is nothing short of miraculous, and I hope her story inspires others to give rescue dogs a second chance. Please vote for Journey and help celebrate the incredible spirit of rescue dogs everywhere!

Alice
Alice is a sweet blue pitty mix who lives with her loyal servants. Her favorite activities include barking through the window and protecting her family from squirrels and butterflies. She can usually be found hogging the bed or demanding her dinner.

Middleton
With everything that Midleton has been through, including having to help rescue his sister who was trapped 2 miles in the woods; Midleton never gave up on humans. He loves every human he meets and will not leave your side until he gets a hug from you. While it's not uncommon to find drool in unique places around the house or that the furniture has been relocated so he can get a comfortable spot on the floor, Midleton is an angel sent from heaven. Thank you to Darren Elias Photography for giving us such a unique way to introduce Midleton to you, while raising money for such a great cause.

Maximus
Maximus (Max) who also goes by Pibbys is a 6 year old American bully. We rescued Max from the SPCA in 2022 and it was the best decision we ever made. He is the light of our life, the goodest boy, and has made our family complete. He has the best temperament, loves other animals and people. He is such a little snuggle bug, and what a personality he has! He is most definitely treat and food motivated. He loves walks, being outside, ice cream, his hedgehog and of course his family.

Kokomo
Kokomo is a sweet 13 year old Brussels Griffon Shih Tzu mix. He is only 9 lbs but he rules the house and has that big dog attitude everywhere he goes. He loves going on adventures especially to dog friendly patios/restaurants! He looks forward to snuggle time with mom every day. He’s got a a huge personality just as impressive as his beard!

Mango
Mango, a spunky little dog with a personality bigger than himself, joined our family a few months ago at the grand age of eight. The adjustment took some time, but now he happily pups around with his much larger brothers, Kurtis and Bucky, who are four times his size! Despite the difference in stature, Mango carries himself with the air of a mighty king, fully embracing his role as ruler of the house.
Mango's fur is as soft and fluffy as a pile of downy feathers, making lap time a truly blissful experience. Brushing Mango's fur is a relaxing time for both of us, keeping his coat soft and fluffy.
When Mango isn't nestled in Mom's lap, he can be found happily playing with his favorite bunny and snowman plush toys. Car rides are a source of pure joy for him and will jump in at a moment's notice, ready for adventure.

Bowie
Bowie is a 5 1/2 pound ball of fluff with this big personality. He’s a Mi-Ki, which really isn’t a well known breed. I stumbled upon the breed by accident and did some research and found a group on Facebook that takes the breed seriously. It’s only been recognized since the 1980’s.
I fell in love with Bowie because of his big upright ears and long eyelashes and his personality. He gives this grumpy dog face and attitude when he doesn’t get his way, but then he really loves to argue with this little growler voice he has so he can voice his opinions. He loves to play and run around doing zoomies with his toys or chasing his brother or our feet and he’s catching on quickly learning to do tricks for his favorite treats.
He especially loves to snuggle and he has to be on top of my legs snuggling at bedtime, it’s his favorite place being next to me.
And his favorite snacks or foods are vegetables. He gets super excited if I say Bowie, you want carrots? He grabs my hand to try and lead me to the kitchen to show me he wants me to cut up carrots for him. He loves vegetables and would rather eat those than his chicken, so I call him my little vegetarian.

Ashton
Ashton started his life out on the streets but is now accustomed to life as a distinguished, senior gentleman who prefers people to pooches, and couches to cardio. He loves head rubs, his bathrobe, and napping where he dreams about a world with unlimited treats and doggy ice cream cups!

Sadie
Hi, my name is Sadie. I love everyone I meet, especially kids. My favorite pass time is playing with toys or snuggling with my 14 pound best friend (she’s a hot dog dog). I love car rides and weekly adventures to the flea market. Give me a treat and I’ll be your best friend forever!!!

Nellie
Meet Nellie, a 5 month old mini goldendoodle. She can be found sitting on the couch resting with her family one minute and then sprinting after a ball playing fetch the next. Her favorite time of the day is meal time (she’ll even do spins and jumps out of excitement). Nellie also enjoys playing with her cousins, Mac and Shoshana.

Finch
Finch, affectionately known as Finchy, isn't just your average, run-of-the-mill pup. He's a super mutt! With the adventurous spirit of a beagle, the affectionate nature of a dachshund and the feisty disposition of a chihuahua, Finchy is the perfect companion whether cuddling or exploring. Born on October 28, 2021, in Bowling Green, KY, home of the Corvette, Finchy is equally, if not 10x more rad. He enjoys swimming, playing in the snow and long, meandering hikes through the forests of NEPA with his Mom. On Wednesdays he looks forward to hanging out with his posse at bark.sniff.play. Although Finchy was a rescue from a shelter in NJ, it's hard to say who rescued whom. He is my best friend and adventure buddy. He lights up my life even on the darkest days. But beware of this little thief: he stole my heart and will surely steal yours. 💖
